Welcome to my corner of the internet. I'm about halfway through life, continually learning what it means to show up every day for myself, for my family, and for others. I'm hoping you'll allow me to offer you hope, and maybe a little discomfort too, through my writing.

I'm a learner and a leader.
I serve my community through church leadership, various volunteer work, as a member of my local school board, and as a CASA volunteer in the county court system.

 

Our family just let our foster care license expire after ten years of loving kids and families in crisis. My husband and I have five children, three of whom were adopted through the foster care system. We're learning to parent through trauma and special needs, and we spend an inordinate amount of time just showing up for therapy.

I'm a reader and a front-porch sitter.

I love tacos, hot drinks, and my fluffy robe, and I am all in with Jesus.

I hope you leave this little space believing that changing the world can be just as easy as simply showing up and that you have what it takes to do it.
